Standard Visitor Visa Renewal Query

Post by user4931 » Mon Jan 30, 2023 2:26 pm

Hi,
I was granted a 6 month visitor visa after a lengthy 2-year battle (3 or 4 of my applications, and 1 of theirs, and 2 PAP's, I believe, all of the rejections were eventually overturned, however), and during the last entry, the Border Force told me to talk to my solicitor(s) and inform them of what I was told.

Essentially, the Border Force believes that I should not wait for the visa to expire and risk getting rejected, and to let my solicitor(s) know that I need to either seek BRP(?), or to inform the Home Office of the current situation, where I have a legitimate reason for multiple entries and exits, due to the partner being unable to travel due to health reasons (and likely won't be for the foreseeable future).

However, solicitor(s) believe(s) that I need to wait for it to expire, and that there is no such correspondence address, and basically, that I have to wait until the last day...

But I'm worried in case that it's denied again, because it would render me unable to be of any assistance in-person, even if temporarily... because even a week makes a difference, let alone waiting for months, and that makes me question who is right, and who is wrong...

I'd appreciate any type of advice and assistance.

TIA!

I've read this 2ce and still can't understand the whole thing.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
