Informing Employer about WP --> Tier1

Hi,

I came to UK on a Work Permit (sponsored by my Indian company). I have changed my visa status to Tier1 (General).

I am confused whether should I tell about the new visa status to my company?

If I don't tell, Is there any way by which my company will come to know about this on its own?

What could be the possible consequences if I don't tell them now and later they come to know about this?

Please advise in case anyone has faced a similar situation.

You really do not need to tell you employer.

When the company has to renew your WP, at that point of time they would need to know that u have a T1.

T1 is actually it is good for the company as it saves them money and time to renew your WP.

Consequence, it really depends on what they want to do, but in my personal opinion they would do nothing.
