NTL application’s HO responsed without providing an email to reply caseworker

Post by malaysia821 » Sat Jan 27, 2024 1:20 pm

Home Office has finally responded to my no-time limit application. They requested me to send in my new passport photo. However, they didn’t provide a response email, I tried to respond directly to the email they sent, however it got rejected as it is a no-reply email address. Please can you Help me? How could I know which email to reply? Anyone has Received emaior from no time limit application case work as before? May I know what was the address they provided to you before?

Their email:

Thank you for your application for a No Time Limit (NTL) Biometric Residence Permit (BRP).

In order to change the name shown on Home Office records applicants must provide evidence that their change of name is legitimate, and that their name is being used for all current identification purposes.

You have submitted deed poll as evidence that your change of name is legitimate. However, your current passport shows the name XXX. As a result, it cannot be considered that you use the name XXX for all current identification purposes. The name in passports takes precedence over the names shown in other supporting documents such as marriage certificates, deed polls, or divorce papers.

In order to proceed with your application

Provide a new/current passport in the name XXX.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I tried again, but with less attachment, but I received an automate reply with an email title “ WARNING - you have emailed an out of date address “ sent from noreply-legacygsi@homeoffice.gov.uk

What does it mean? does it mean my response has sent succesfully to the caseworker?

Their email says:

It says:
The email address you have sent to atlasnotifications.notmonitored@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk is for a legacy domain and will shortly be removed.

Please update your address book and send to the same address but having removed .gsi. from the domain part.

Mail to the legacy addresses will stop working in a few weeks.

I see! Thank you for letting me know, but I have only received an email from the (inside UK) caseworker today, and this is the reply to address they provided. :(

Thank you so much for your reply. I appreciate that, and I have remove the .gsi from the email and send my response to
atlasnotifications.notmonitored@homeoffice.gov.uk

So far it has been 10 minutes, and i didn’t received any bounce back or deliver failure email. Hopefully I am doing the right thing? :(

It’s a bit disappointing of how HO case worker being so careless on without providing a straightforward way for us to response back to their request.

Hi,

Did you try ringing them up? Also, if you have submitted the application using UKVCAS service, it may be easier to go through them again.

I am also waiting for a decision on my application - can you confirm when did you submit the NTL application please.

Thanks,
AP

If you cannot contact UK 0300 numbers, use +44 (0)203 875 4669.

Hi AP,

My BRP fingerprint appointment was 15 Nov 2023 in London croydon, I submitted my NTL (no time limit” application) for name change around 4 Nov 2023.

Ho responded me on 27 Jan, with further document request. I tried all the way and even contact the HO customer service they then directed me to the email: ApplyOnlineE-Support@homeoffice.gov.uk which later got replied that I shouldn’t find them LOL

I then thought to continue try my own way! (Really DISAPPOINTED how could HO has no idea then their provided email for response is no longer working.

I then contacted this email as I had name change as well but it was few years back when I was a Tier 1 visa holder. The email they provided for response was this WorkNonSponsoredCasework@homeoffice.gov.uk

So I wrote an email to them by hit reply on our previous email exchange years ago, and they REPLIED me, and said they have forwarded my letter and evidences to the relevant team!

Now still continue waiting for them to approve my NTL application!! Can’t wait to receive my NEW ILR BRP card :)

Glad that you finally had some response and the ball is in motion again. My appointment for new NTL was on 17th Oct and I have still not heard anything back from them. I see that you have applied after me, so not sure what is happening to my application which was applied a few weeks before you. I did try emailing to those IDs i mentioned but had no response, tried ringing them up but they just said that it can take up to 6 months and call back if you don't get a response even after 6 months, so I am clueless at the moment on my application status. So I guess you are in a much better situation compared to me!
