SWV holder's pension Scheme

Post by no_hope2 » Thu Apr 04, 2024 10:59 pm

I recently relocated to the UK on a skilled worker visa. My employer notified me of the company's pension scheme, and I was automatically enrolled. I formally requested to opt out of the pension scheme. I'm concerned about not being enrolled in any pension scheme and whether this is illegal in the UK or breaches immigration laws. Additionally, I plan to send money back home as I have a national pension plan there, and there is no treaty between the UK and my country.

As long as your employer offered you a pension scheme that meets the minimum statutory requirements and then you formally opted out of the scheme, there is nothing to worry about.

As for your overseas pension scheme - not an immigration matter.
