Error on Citizenship Certificate

I recently attended and received my Citizen Certificate however they issued the incorrect date of birth on my certificate. I have since sent it back however I have now been informed that it can take up to 6 months for a correct certificate to be issued. Has anyone had the same issue? Any advice on how I can expedite this issue?

Does anyone know how long it takes the home office to rectify an error that they made on my citizenship certificate? I have been told that it can take up to 6 months which is very concerning.

You can't expedite it. It will take them the time it takes. Members have reported receiving a replacement in a couple of months, so hopefully it won't take the full six months.

That's because it does not happen frequently. Patience to wait for outcome is a key thing when dealing with such matters.
