Unpaid leave for Skilled Worker Visa

Post by banglore-birmingham » Fri Jul 12, 2024 1:31 pm

Hello all,
Just a very quick question: One of my employee wish to take 2 months unpaid leave. Our company has sponsored him since May 2023 for 3 years. My question is:
1) Can we allow him to go for 2 months unpaid leave? The company has no problem in granting him the leave.
2) If so, I assume we need to inform home office?
3) Do we need to re-sponsor him when he returns back?
Your quick reply is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Your quick reply is highly appreciated.

You are required to inform the Home Office for any period of leave beyond 28 days.
Make sure it is clear that is authorised unpaid leave and the sponsorship is being continued.
