I'm just about to get my UK Tier 1 (general) visa, but am thinking that I may want to also have a short stint working in another European country (eg in Scandinavia) around the same time.

Obviously I would need to arrange a Working Holidaymaker Visa for such before I leave Australia to work in the UK, but I'm not sure if it's possible to have the 2 work visas at the same time.

Does anyone know? Thanks.

I know that time spent outside the UK won't extend the 3 year Tier 1 visa.

If you are intending to work in a Eurpean country (other than UK) for a short while, then why do you need WHM (UK) visa? You'll need a visa that will entitle you to work in that particular country!

Am confused! Or maybe I missed the point altogether :? !

Yeh, you have missed the point. I'm looking into getting the WHM visa for Norway, in addition to the UK Tier 1.
