Applied for 1 year student Visa, but after entering UK I understood my visa has been approved for just 152 days.

I had applied for UK student visa for my MSc course. As per CAS the course runs from Sep 2024 to Sep 2025. I got stamped vignette with student visa. No other notes found on the vignette. After reaching UK, I went to collect my BRP from the post office, and it was never there. Then made an enquiry about missing BRP, got a response via email that my visa is less than 6 months, therefore, I wouldn’t be getting BRP. It was shocking, then I realised i got only successful email response from UKVI whilst I applied for student visa, however, the email didn’t mention that my visa has been approved only for 6 months. Then to confirm this, I requested evisa and found that my visa has been approved only for 152 days. It worries me, as i paid for student visa, my CAS is approved for a year, there are no mistakes on my application regarding the intended stay. Then why it has been approved just for 152 days? Could someone help me on this?

You need to report this to the University's international admission office.

The University should have checked all your documents when enrolled upon arrival. If you have any issues with them they should assist you on addressing the issues and what to do.
