Query for Advice on Delayed Start Date for UK Skilled Worker Visa

Post by Jay090 » Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:18 am

Hi everyone,

I recently received my UK Skilled Worker visa, which is valid from now until 25th January 2025. My original start date, as mentioned on my Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), is 1st November 2024. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I requested to delay my joining date to 1st January 2025, and my employer has approved this.

Given that my visa and CoS originally specified a start date of 1st November, I’m concerned about potential issues with traveling and starting on 1st January instead. Is it okay to enter the UK closer to this new date, or could this adjustment cause any complications with my visa status or at the border?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I’m currently outside UK and it’s a DCOS not COS.
Many Thanks

You can resume at a later date if agreed to by the employer and SMS is updated accordingly.
