Applying for Tier-1 Dependents - Queries - please answer

Post by erasani1 » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:35 am

Hi,

last month i got my tier-1 visa and in VAF-9 i have mentioned that my wife and child will travel to UK in July 2009. I am planning to apply for visa for my wife and child next week.

1. Since i am currently in India, will it cause any problem if i apply for my dependents?

2. Can we apply for dependent VISA now or is there any rule which says that you have to apply three months before the intended date of travel?
my case i have applied on Dec 31 where as i mentioned my intended date of travel as April 5th 2009 which is beyond three months and my visa was stamped from April 5th only.

If my family can apply
3. do they need to show Evidence of accommodation in the UK. How is it possible since i m in India only.

4. Any sponsor ship letter from husband is required??

5. Are attested salary slips required for both the dependant applicants i.e.My wife and child?

Can i request the senior members to please answer these questions.

1. No problem
2. No problem
3. The way you provided your accomodation proof either by hotel booking or friend letter, now you need to provide the same for your child and wife.
4. Simple letter by you stating you will be responsible for their stay and ongoing expenses in UK
5. If your wife is working then yes, otherwise you financial details (Maintenance fund which includes sum of your and wife and child ) will be required

And to be on safe side request for the visa date same as your date and also explain in detail in covering letter whatever supporting note you want to provide them.

Hope this helps
Kaff
