20 hours childcare - one parent on Leave to remain

Post by Lid92 » Tue Dec 17, 2024 9:32 am

Hi,

I found old post only, so I hope it’s ok I ask this:

I’m married to a British citizen and currently on spouse visa (not eligible for public funds).
Next month I’ll be able to apply for my ILR.
We have a 3.5 child and my husband applied for 30 hours childcare for him.

I read somewhere that us applying for 30 hours childcare can cause a problem with my ILR application as I’m not eligible for public funds?

Thanks

I assume you’re also working. 30 hours childcare is not a public fund so it will not affect your settlement application.
