Dependent visa extension when spouse has ILR/British Citizenship

I was on skilled worker visa for 5 years and then got my ILR and citizenship. Now my partner is on dependent visa and that is expiring in dec 2025. He only needs 6 months extension that would lead him to his ILR. Now the questions that I have are:

1- Will he apply under skilled worker dependant visa extension and how early can he apply?
2- what will happen to the COS related questions, would we have to add the old COS details?
3-we need to secure a mortgage and the banks don’t accept 6 months left on visa, can we apply for extension now? As it’s expiring in dec 25?

He only needs 6 months extension that would lead him to his ILR.

It is a 3 year extension as stated in the immigration rules. You cannot choose to apply for less validity.

At any time.

You put your old and last CoS details but a work end date 3 years in the future.
