Anyone got Tier1 Start date changed after Visa approval ????

Post by sunny_hsmp001 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 5:54 am

Hi All

i applied from Delhi VFS for Tier1 on 12th Jan

and got VISA yesterday i.e. 17/02/2009 and the visa is dated 16/02/09 to 16/02/12

but i mentioned the travel/start date as 1st april 2009

i'm in a dilemma now as i have a notice period of 1 month at my current employer.

Can i get the date changed by contacting BHC ?

If yes what is the contact info ?

If not then will it affect anything if i travel 1 month later which looks feasible.

please help its very urgent.

Regards
Sunny

First, congrats on your visa stamping. There is no such rule that one needs to start immediately after the visa is stamped.

You can travel anytime in the duration of your visa. Howeve, a long delay will affect your ILR application in future but entry after a month of visa approval is fine.

So pack your bags, give notice to your employer and need not worry.

Welcome to UK then, make sure that you have enough money to support yourself, also keep applying from today and try to line up some interview if you can, mention that you are coming ti UK on this date.

Good luck
