Visa Fee Waiver - Successful application

We applied for a visa fee waiver in May 2025. The guidance stated that the sponsor (i.e. British citizen) is to make the application and following that guidance we made the application including all family members Husband (Sponsor) (British citizen) already living and working in the UK, Wife (Applicant) (Kenyan citizen). On 10th June 2025 the application was stating that the wife should be the only applicant. By 11th June we had redone the application and re submitted it.

Evidence - we submitted Bank statements, receipts and invoices for school fees, tenancy agreements, bills. We also submitted applicants MPESA statement among several other documents. We annotated statements with all income and expenditure over £250.

Home Office responded on the 5th September 2025 stating that they required more information. The fundamentals of the email are below.

If you or your sponsor are currently receiving support from a friend or family member, please provide a letter from this person to explain that they are currently supporting you, what the support includes and whether or not the support can continue.

Six months annotated bank statements for all bank accounts
I acknowledge the bank statements provided for the account ending in *844 and account ending in *487. However, in order to assess your and your sponsors disposable income and whether your financial circumstances have changed recently we require bank statements for your families/household accounts covering a period of six months with all major and regular incoming and outgoing payments explained. The bank statements you provided for Revolut account ending in *844 were not sufficient for our purposes as they show numerous transfers over £250.00 to 'Wife'. Please annotate and explain these transactions, please also provide any evidence to support your statements. Please provide receipts for these international money transfer services so we can establish who the funds are being sent to.
WE PROVIDED THE RECEIPTS FOR THESE TRANSACTIONS AND HAD ALREADY EXPLAINED THIS IN THE COVERING LETTER WE PROVIDED AS WELL AS ANNOTATING IN STATEMENTS

Please note that all bank statements submitted in support of your request need to be produced by the bank. Alternatively, we will also accept screenshots or photographs if all account holder details, transactions and balances are visible. Alongside your statements please provide an explanation for all major incoming and outgoing payments and how they relate to your essential living needs, accommodation or to your claimed exceptional circumstances.

Breakdown of monthly income and expenditure
To assess your case we need to see a complete list of all your and your sponsors current sources of income and current monthly expenditure. Please provide a breakdown of your and your sponsors current monthly income and a breakdown of your and your sponsors current monthly expenditure. This should include all outgoing payments you and they make on a regular basis as well as all incoming payments you and they have been receiving.

Accommodation
Please provide evidence about your and your sponsors current accommodation, such as an original tenancy agreement for formal arrangements. For more informal arrangements, please provide a letter from the house owner outlining the current circumstances along with any other relevant information. If you are currently subject to eviction proceedings, please provide the court issued Eviction Notice or Notice Seeking Possession.

We submitted all documents and responses on the 18th September and received approval on the 22nd September. We are now working on the visa application.
