Hello,
I am hoping this forum will help me again and I do thank you in advance.
I am a British Citizen( Naturalised earlier this year). I wish for my wife to join me here( we got married 4th of October) so she will start the application process. We have read all the online official information but still have a few questions:
1.We got married in Romania so our marriage certificate is in Romanian. The UKVI website states that it needs to be translated but i guess the translatation also needs to be legalisated in Romania. Does it also need to have an apostille or is the legalised translation enough?
2. She will need to take an English test to proove the level of language. Does that English test need to be done in the country she will be appling from( Romania) or can it be done in the UK? I know to application needs to be submitted from outside the UK but she does visit me quite often in London and it would be considerably easier to do that test in London and then go to Romania and submit the application. ( I have not found any mention of this anywhere. My logic would dictate it does not matter where you do the test but I know UKVI can be very specific and pedantic)
3. She will also need to provide biometrics and from what I've seen those actually need to be provided at a center in the country from where the application will be sent( i.e. Romania). Is this correct? There is no way of providing biometrics from a UK centre?
4. Apart from the marriage certificate, should we also provide more evidence of the relationship?( plane tickets, photos, conversations?)
5. Any other documentation needed to be provided?( assuming all other conditions like income etc are met)
Many thanks!
