HSMP extension Fees

Post by ravi6666 » Tue Feb 24, 2009 3:59 pm

Hi,

I got HSMP approval in April 2007 and got visa for 2 years and is due to expire on 24-April-2009. I have to apply for extension now. I am just wondering how much to pay 350 or 750? please let me know.

Following is the content which is there in home office website... you have valid hmsp letter it is 350.. i got hsmp in april 2007 so it is 350?

pls let em know,
Thanks
Ravi

-£350 if you submit a valid HSMP approval letter with your application for initial entry (switching) into Tier 1 General (this is because you have already paid for the approval letter); and
-£750 for all other applicants (including applications for extension within the highly skilled worker category if you are currently in the United Kingdom under HSMP).

Ravi666,

Of course it is £750.
£350 is only for the new applications who apply for T1G.
-£750 for all other applicants (including applications for extension within the highly skilled worker category if you are currently in the United Kingdom under HSMP).
Just re-read your post, it says in your case, as you are applying for extending your leave under HSMP with T1G, you need to pay a fee of £750.

And Remember, your Original HSMP approval letter is retained by the Visa Issuing post. You might only have the photocopy of that.

I have not seen any case where original HSMP approval letter is retained by the embassy. It is always returned to the applicant. Usually it is retained by the embassy when they refuse the application or think it is obtained by deception.
