10 years lawful residence

Post by Babila » Tue Jul 21, 2026 6:27 pm

Hello everyone
I would to share my immigration history in order to have your opinion about the 10 years continuous visas that lead ILR.

I came in the UK as a student in 2017 ( student visa) but with a British child ( it was born back home as my partner is British).

2018 , applied through my British child and obtained 2.5 years on a 10 years route.

2021 instead of renew on the same route , the solicitor advised to apply for zambrano under EU settlement. Got a refusal and the solicitor applied straight away and they put me on a 10 years but this time as partner.

2025 renewal and I got another 2.5 years on a partner route but this time on a 5 years route.

Please I would like to know if next year I can applied for ILR on the 10 years long residency rules . I am bit worried because of the refusal I got due to the Zambrano application.

Thanks to all of you.

Provide details of your visa in 2021, date of expiry, the date of EU application and the date your partner visa was again granted
