Tier 1 dependent in different city?

Tier 1 dependent in different city?

I currently hold Tier 1 General visa. My wife has her own visa(PSW) and works for a company. Currently both of us work in the same city. In order for my wife to apply for PR(permanent residency or ILR) with me , she need to go back our home ountry to change her visa to my dependent. Now I find a new job in a different city. But my wife still want to work for her company. In this case, can she still apply for a dependent visa? Does the immigration law requires my wife intends to live in the same city as I? If we live in different cities, will this later affect her application for ILR(as my dependent)? Anyone have similar experiences?
