New Application/Extension using Public Enquiry Offices!

Hi all,

Has anyone applied using the Public Enquiry Offices for Tier 1 Extension?.. I was wondering, When is the best time to apply as in 5 weeks before the application? and if accepted does the visa granted from the day we have applied or from the time my current leave expires.

Any thoughts on this will really help.
