Tier (1) general-What is visa category?

Hello All

While I am scheduling appointment through below link (
http://www.vfs-uk-jp.com/Appointment/Ap ... uling.aspx ) the first question I was asked to select 'Visa Category'. In dropdown, 'Settlement' and 'Non-Settlement' options are present.

I am applying for TIer (1) general from Japan. Which option I should select?

Just for my reference, what is settlement? and non-settlement? visa category.

Any answer is highly appreciated.

You should be selecting NON-SETTLEMENT.

Settlement is the Indefinite Leave to Remain i.e. ILR . Check the link below:
