Dependent applications

Hi there...

Could somebody help resolve my concern regarding dependant applications please?

I am presently on a Student Visa in UK. My wife has dependent student visa but she is back in India. And we are expecting a baby soon. We would be applying and obtaining a passport for the baby in India, before I apply for my Tier 1 General Visa.

If I apply for a Tier 1 General VISA, would it be possible to apply for a dependent visa for both my Wife and baby along with mine in UK? I can arrange to get all the documents along with passport for the two here.

OR do I have to apply for the dependent visas seperately?

And does it take longer to obtain visa if applied from india? more than 7 weeks?

Recently itsfound that..

Tier1 (G) main/dependent visa's applied in India are obtained much quicker (3-4weeks max) than who are applying in UK (7-8weeks min)
