Hello Guys,
I am a foreign national living in Ireland. I am currently on work permit and my work permit will expire 30th August 2009.
Due to current economic downturn, my company has made me redundant. As everybody knows the job market is not good in these day, so it is almost impossible to get a new job from an employer who can apply a work permit for me.
I have decided to move out from Ireland and have prepared my all the documents for Tier 1. I am getting the earliest possible appiontment from British Embassy Dublin on 31/07/09 and my work permit will finish 30/08/09.
I have mentioned in my application that my intended date of travel is 30/08/2009 so there are almost 21 working days in between application submission date and intended date of travel. I have checked the previous months application processing period for British Embassy Dublin, 80% application for Tier 1 were decided in 15 working days and 100% in 30 working days.
1. My question is, would that be ok to go ahead with these dates???
Application submission Date: 31/07/2009
Intended date of travel: 30/08/2009 (which is also the date of expiration of my work permit)
2. If case worker is not able to decide my application until the expiration of my work permit date which is 30/08/2009, can he/she refuse my application on the basis that i am not legally residing in the country???
Any suggestion or answer will be appreciated. Thanks very much
Cheers
