Asking Help to apply for minor child to join me in UK

Hello.
My friend entered UK as a fiancee of a UK citizen. They recently got married and she is missing her 8 year old daughter badly. Can she apply for her child to join her soon in the UK?

Yes but does she have legal custody in the form of a court order?
