processing time canberra visa

Hi

Am just wondering if anyone has recent experience with the Canberra office in settlement visas. I applied for a UK Spouse visa at this centre in May but didnt get a confirmation email til 4th June - it took ages! And now am still waiting to receive news back.

Does anyone know how long the current processing time is? I know it says on the website 12 weeks, but a few weeks ago it said 8. I know these cant all take 2 weeks to get done (how much time do they need?!?!?) but would really appreciate anyones experiences on recent applications for settlement visas in Oz.
