NEED SOME ADVISE PLEASE

Post by rachel30 » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:37 am

Hello I need some advise about my situation, Currently I have a resident card of a Family member of an EEA national that let me stay in the Uk 5 years , Im married with an Irish citizen who has british nationality too and hold two passports (Irish*British) but now our relationship is not working due to different issues my problem is Im dependent of him and if we decide to get divorce or just live apart from each other how it would be my situation?? Am i allowed to stay the time that my resident card says even if we are not together anymore? or I need to come back to my country? Actually Im living 2 years in UK and I got a job paying my taxes can somebody advise me please?

You need to have been married for three years for you to qualify to stay independently, he will need to assist you with evidence that he was exercising a treaty right up to the time the divorce absolute was issued.

If you can't prove that your resident card will be revoked before the five years.

Is there no prospect, that you can patch things up, or does he want to quit.
