We'll issue the Visa 4 u

Post by mohdtammam » Tue Jul 21, 2009 9:32 am

Hi, how are you all.
i'm new here, wld like to ask 4 ur advice
I made an appeal 4 my settelment visa, the hearing was held on May and after 2 weeks the judge allowed the appeal, my wife called me and said congrats the desicion is in our favor, well i was happy, waited after that 3 weeks, i had to bring the determination to the embassy......
well after all they called me and ask me to bring my passort to issue the visa 4 me.
they said it will take a week.
now it's been more than 6 weekes and they did not issue the visa, every time i call they say '' your passport under check'' , '' visa ander process''
'' you have to wait, there are certain checks to be done and we're waiting the check to come back and then we'll issue the visa and call u to collect ur passport''
how long
we don't know, you have to be patient...
now .guys is that normal?????????????
my wife and i are confused.

Its taking up to 3-4 months in the Indian subcontinent to issue visas after winning the appeal. So you might have to wait a bit longer my friend

thank you for your reply
but they already took my passport a month after i won the appeal.. and after that i've been waiting now for nearly month and a half, that's two months and a half. so are they going to keep my passpoet another one month and a half to issue the visa!!!???? although i think if i have to wait 4 months after winning the appeal most of the waiting period should be logically before they admit that i won and request to bring the passport, but what happened with me is the reverse.
however they will issue the visa eventually, won't they? what do you think, cos i started to get realy worry

ps. i'm arab applied from the UAE where i live.

Have you contacted them. If not try emailing them to find out what is happening.

Most of Pakistan applications are now dealt in Abu Dhabi rather than Islamabad, couldbe the reason for the delay

thank you batleykhan
in fact i call them here in Abu Dhabi almost every week, their answer is : we are dealing with your passport now, we have it in hand, although you have won the appeal but there are some checks we have to do, once the checking of your passport is complete we'll issue the visa, and we'll call you to collect your passport.
the thing is they have different tone every time i call, sometimes they appologize and thank me for my patience and tell me that i am welcome to call any time. '' please give us a call next week, we have it in hand and it shouldn't be too much loonger, thank u again for calling us.
when i call next week they refuse to even talk to me and when i insist they say look your visa under process, we'll call u when....

they sometimes say that and i tell them my case is not (application and documents to be checked and verified) it's just simply issuing the visa which was approved already, so what is going on???

My experience has been that if they have a chance to be awkward... they'll do it.
