HSMP Status: Outside UK stay period..?

Hiya,

I wonder how long one can stay out side on HSMP visa. I mean maximum stay in term of whole five year.

I am been out around 120 day already and planning for another?

Any suggestion or Link would be appreciated.

If you want ILR without going into 2nd extn, you can be out of the country for max of 90 days in one go and 180 days in total 5 years...

I am a victim of this policy as my stay out of country was 96 days resulting in the counter reset..

Yes it is possible but your ILR counter will reset and you might have to go for 2nd extn...

Pls check some posts ( i think posted by push_hsmp) where he mentioned it shd be ok if it is Business trip?? i will post the link if i find it..

I am under impression that you cannot stay out of the country more than 90 days in the last year. and 180 days in total 5 years.

I have spoke to one of agent and he said that I can't stay more then 90 days at one go but he didn't mention anything about 180 days in five year. I am bit confused now. Does any one know any policy mentioned in document listed in border security website.
