Dependents of HSMP (Now Tier 1)

Hi all,
I am on HSMP and going to apply for extension in Oct 2009.
I have 3 dependents (my spouse+2kids) my spouse and one daughter is with me here in UK but my son has never applid for EC and he is at back home.
Now I want to bring him here in UK. I have a query for M.funds
Q.1 As I am going to apply for my extension and I have FUNDS in my account...Can I use same funds for my son applying from Pakistan after getting my extension...?
Q.2 Do I need to show 1600 or 533 for my son...?
Q-3 As he is in Guardianship of my other and she is also travelling with him coz he is only 2yrs...Do I need to show MF for my mother .....?
Q-4 What about my mother would she aplly as a visitor or Companion...?
Q-5 I know which document I need to provide from my side can some one tell me the documents required from other side for my dependent and his companion (my mother)...?
I'll highly appreciate your expert advise and immediate response plsssssss

yes but your son will need to apply from your home country.

not as dependant but you need to show adequate funds for her stay here in UK or she should have such funds available with her.

off course he will apply from home country with my mom I was just confused on MFunds..which is cleared now

Push little more clearification for M Funds
As I am apllying in Oct 2009 for extension possibly through IN-Person method. I am going to apply next month Nov 2009 for my son.
Is it alright to use the same bank statment showing maintenance funds for him, which I am going to use for my extension...?
As I need to show M.Fund in my account for 3 months not below the limit mentioned in Guidence Notes...So Is that alright if I show three continuous months (July Aug Sep 2009) for My extension and Aug Sep Oct 2009 for my son's M.Fund...confusing pls help

If you go by the spirit of the law/rule the answer is no BUT that said, a number of ppl have done the same and got approvals. Some even got responses from HO saying that when they applied for their dependants, the need not show funds for the main applicant who is already in UK.
