Receiving confirmation/acknowledgement...?

Post by Sapphire1974 » Sun Aug 16, 2009 7:53 pm

How many days does it normally takes to get acknolwdgement/confirmation from HO once application is made/received by them?

I am moving to a new property on 28th August'09 and will only get the keys on the same day...however I am planning to apply for Tier 1 (G) tomorrow...

The reason is HO may send acknowledgement/confirmation to my new address which I have mentioned as correspondence address in my application...in that case I will not be able to get that letter/acknolwdgement/confirmation by 28th Aug'09

Generally you get acknowledgment reply within a week or 3-4 days. If you have used your new address, than better inform your agent that you are expecting some very important documents on that address. If somebody is already living in that address, than better inform them too.

Alternatively, apply with your current address and then send a change of circumstance form to HO (for address change). This could be chargeable better check before applying.

Or apply after few days ;-)

No. Acknowledgment is sent by ordinary post. Many times people don't even receive it.
