I'm a US citizen who has already applied for an INF4 Spouse visa to the UK and have already been waiting 6 weeks. Does anyone have any information on how long these applications actually take? According to the information I've seen, it seems as if most applicants have gotten their visas back within a week or two.
I've had visa trouble in the past- my UK work visa extension (Tier 1) was rejected, then when I tried to enter the UK as a tourist, I was denied entry. So I applied for a visitor's visa, which was also denied. However, I never hid the fact that I was planning on getting married.
My immigration lawyer assured me that my application was very straightforward, yet I haven't heard anything back. Is it normal for a decision to take this long? And having already waited 6 weeks, is there any chance of having to be interviewed as well?
Thanks!
