Tier 1 HSMP for self employed consultant

I have a query about my cousin who is a self-employed consultant although working for the same company for the last 2 years, been in and out of the country as well on project basis. So although he gets enough points for the salary part but the bank statements would show some irregularites in the earnings paid in. For e.g. on one occassion salary of december was paid in January along with the earnings of January. So even though he has the tax documents etc, but my question is whether those inconsistencies in the earnings paid in would be regarded as a major issue with the caseworker ?

And, secondly does a self employed consultant get lower priority for an HSMP over a permanent employee of a company?

Can your cousin obtain an explanation for this inconsistency from his clients? Basically just an additional letter stating that the pay for both December and January was paid together?

As long as this letter is present, and all amounts tally, there shouldn't be a problem. Most important rule is that both evidences tally.

There is no priority system for Tier 1 General. If your cousin can demonstrate he can get the required points, his application will be treated in the same manner as a person in salaried employment.

yes he can his client/company can provide him all supporting documents he needs they are very supportive

Actually there is another point I should have mentioned earlier, because although he has been consistently paid in the same place of origin where he started working, but he has also been living away from the country a lot during the last 1 year.

So whether the person has stayed away from the country due to project requirements, only because the company he worked for had another office there..Does that make any difference with the application ? like does he actually needs to clarify that even though there was no difference in the pay while being away or home.. only his travel and other expenses were paid for by the company. or shall he just keep it simple and just ignore getting into those details?

Don;t think it matters. Get letter from his employer explaining nature of work, payment details and his onsite assignments. It would be fine.
