Can somebody please give me some advice??? My boyfriends visa has expired, he is at the moment still in the uk but should be back in pakistan by now. we have an 8 month old baby together. i dont want to put his name on the birth certificate because i wouldnt want him having unsupervised visits with her etc, you hear things all the time about babys being taken across to other contrys without consent etc, and i wouldnt want her going over there. i dont even know anything about his family. i need some advice on how i can keep him here because i still love him but just so worried about my child being taken from me, its natural 1 day is going to want her to stay with her on his own. He is also only 21 same like me but he still has abit of a childs mind so i wouldnt trust him to look after her. please help me people

What's his visa status? Previous visa? When it expired? What does he do to support himself/your guys?

Please provide little background.

his visa status i dont know what that means but he was on a student visa but he wasnt studying he was working doing security at a shop when i met him, and now he works in a resteraunt. he doesnt support that much because the money he is getting is terrible says he needs to be legal here before he can get back into doing secuurity work again which is good money. they know his visa has expired so they are paying him next to nothing cash in hand. i just dnt5 know what to do.

Well if his student visa has expired and he has not applied for extension or for new category within 28 days of expiry, he is an illegal immigrant in the country. On top of that he is doing jobs, which is again illegal. Since he wasn't studying while on student visa, it is evident that he never intent to study in this country.

No nice way to say this but home office don't take it nicely.

I would advice to seek professional advice as early as possible to sort it out. The more your guys delay this the more he will be in trouble.

i know, i am going to see a solicitor tomorrow, i just need some advice on the birth certificate thing, i dont want to put his name on it just to keep him here, but besides that or marriage is there any other way.

Even if you get married he would have to leave to legalise his stay.
