confused with income period, please help!

Post by michael10 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 7:59 pm

Hi All,

Hope you are all doing well.

I've got a question on income period as below. I'm not sure if it's OK.

My current visa expires on 26th Feb. I have two sources of income from two jobs.
Job 1, my main job pay me monthly on the last working day of every month. I have payslips from Feb 2009 to Jan 2010 (12 months).
Job 2, another job started 5 months ago pay me monthly too but on every second Friday. I have to use Job 2's Feb pay to lift my total income over the bar. I have payslips from Oct 2009 to Feb 2010 (5 months).
Question: If we look at payslips, they belongs to 13 months from Feb 2009 to Feb 2010, but if we look at bank statements all money received within 12 months time. Would this be OK? How will HO look at my income? Will they look the period that salaries belong to or the period when I actually received the money?

Any advise appropriated.

Many thanks.

Michael

The income period *must* be 12 months, irrespective of whether the salary was actually credited into the bank in 11 months or 13 months!

e.g. -
Job 1: Feb'09 to Jan'10 - 12 (monthly) salary credits in bank statement corresponding with 12 payslips.
Job 2: Oct'09 to Jan'10 - 4 (monthly) salary credits in bank statement correspondng with 4 payslips.

Thanks. In another words, I need to start to pack my bag now. I'm done here in UK.

But before that, I would like find someone could advise how the "12 months" is defined, I couldn't find it on HO's website.
Does it have to be exactly 12 calendar months? Or it could be the 12 months that break into days, i.e. from 16/02/2009 to 15/02/2010, that's 12 months too.

Anyone?

Read the HO -

Tier 1 (General) of the Points Based System – Policy Guidance

Page 20, Paragraph 100 which says..
100. All the periods we specify are calendar months (for example 14 January – 13 February).
this reminds me "Dharr key aagey Jeeth hai".. Goodluck
