how long did it take for you to get swedish resident permit?

how long did it take for you to get swedish resident permit?

my husband has applied for a residence permit and on the embassy website it says the wait time is 6-8 months. however, i'm hoping it'll take less time as we've been married 12 years, have 2 kids and he has previously lived with me in sweden with a resident permit.
anyone with similar experience and could tell me whether 6-8 months is the rule, or sooner?
