Will previous overstay affect Student Visa

I went to the UK in August of 2009, and was told that i was only to remain a month (however the stamp on my passport was valid for six months). I stayed until November. Will this affect my chances of getting a student visa for Sept 2010?

You left within the visa validity! You did not overstay! So it shouldn't be a problem.
