Returning Resident

Hi guys,
This is an urgent call for help from any gurus or experts.
According to the guidelines a returning resident must be returning within 2 years, unless they can prove either that they have lived in the UK most of their lives or they have strong family ties.
My question is, what constitutes strong family ties? Husband-wife? Mother-daughter?
