Help for applying HSMP URGENT!!

Hi All

I have recently come back to India from UK after almost 2 years. I was working as a contractor in a reputed firm as a Business Analyst(IT) and my partner was also working on a dependent visa. Now we have decided to apply for HSMP. Please could you guide me how should we go ahead by filling up HSMP form. Any tips and advice will be helpful and much appreciated. I have seen HSMP form and not sure of :

1) what and how much do we need to elaborate point 7 of Part 2 'What type of work or self-employment do you intend to do in the United Kingdom? ' I intend to work in IT but still if you can guide me what all points I should mention here....

2) Similalry, also confused about question 'What arrangements have you made to seek work upon your arrival in the UK?' I have seen job sites and from my past 2 years experience i know that IT is paying well..

3) What all documents do we need to submit with our application?

4) Should it be original or photocopy?

5) If my partner is applying as dependent, do I need to send my partners documents aswell"?

You can state your proffesion, number of years of experience and the area of your expertise. You can also state that you are attaching copies of job adverts in the area of your expertise as proof of how employable you are.

You can state that upon your arrival to UK you will start applying for advertised jobs.

They should be original. The type of documentation you would submit would depend on the points you are going to claim. I would suggest you read the guidelines document carefully. You should get your answers there

5) If my partner is applying as dependent, do I need to send my partners documents aswell"?

It would depend. Are you going to claim 10 points for your spouse's achievements. If you are then you would have to submit neccessary documenation pertaining to that.
