Earnings clarification required...

Post by sood.rahul » Mon Apr 19, 2010 1:47 am

Hello dear members,

I am currently on Tier2 (Intra-Company) Visa and working in the UK. I'd like to apply for Tier1. I have a doubt regarding claiming points for Earnings and 5 points for UK experience. I'd like to provide the details for both:

1) Points for Earnings doubt

Though, I am working in the UK, my parent company gives me my Indian salary (in INR - Indian Rupees) & in addition, gives me per diems & House Rent Allowance (HRA) in UK. The figures are below:

Indian Salary: INR 480,000/- annually - equivalent to GBP 36,684.48
UK Per-diems + HRA: GBP 7,200 + GBP 14,400 annually = GBP 21,600
Total: GBP 58,284.48

Can I include my per-diems & HRA components in order to claim points?
Can both the above components be added to claims points?

2) 5 points for UK experience doubt

As per the above figures, I only get GBP 21,600 in UK, will I be able to claim 5 points?

Can I portray that I get my Indian salary while I am in the UK, hence, can I add both the salaries and show I am getting GBP 58284.48 which is more than the GBP 25000 threshold to claim points under this category?

Your valuable guidance and suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!

Regards.

I dont think you can use the uplift ratio when physically present in UK. Please search the forum as this topic has been discussed extensively on this forum.
