unfair in issusing vaildity of tier 1 visa

Post by groveplace » Fri Jul 09, 2010 2:24 pm

Hi everyone,
May be this is irrelevant to most of you.
Im bit concerned about unfair policies by the uk immigration in issuing visas.
I got tier 1 visa, I’ve applied in person and it took one week to get my passport back with visa for 2 yrs under new rules.
Few of my friends who applied by post at the same time with me under new rules got visa for 3 yrs.
I sincerely request the moderators, administrators to help me with this post in sorting out the unfair policy.
Thank you all

They might have posted their applications before 6th april and got approved after it. So, their date of application would be before the new rules came into force.

If this is the case then it is an error on the part of caseworker. He should have issued 2 years visa. I have seen many PSW holders getting 3 years visa instead of 2. So this error is quite common.

UKBA explicitly say this for same day service that it is not mandatory that you will get decision on the same day. They reserve the right to keep your application and post it to you later on. You can not do anything about this. The only way is to challenge this in court probably but not sure.
