Maintenance query -Applying Incountry, but Maintenance in INR

Post by rajanat » Wed Jul 14, 2010 11:44 am

I just wanted a clarification from you. I am currently in India
and I have Tier 2 ICT Visa. I will be travelling to the UK for 6 weeks. and I have been maintaining Indian rupees equivalent to 2800 Pounds in an Indian Bank account. Now my questions are

1. Will I be able to switch to Tier 1 immediately once I am in the UK
2. Is it fine if I disclose the Indian bank account (in INR) for Maintenance funds instead of UKPounds/UK Bank, when I apply for Switch to Tier 1 from the UK ?
3. If I apply from UK for Switching, is it sufficient to maintain only 800 Pounds instead of 2800 Pounds.
4. Will 6 weeks be sufficient to get back my Passport after stamping
5. Is there a restriction to switch considering the new cap limit.

I would appreciate answers from all the seniors and share there experiences

Many Thanks in advance

1. Yes.
2. Yes, as long as specified requirements are met.
3. Read the policy guidance.
4. IMHO, not at all. Before 14 weeks are over, UKBA won't even entertain your enquiries about your application.
5. Reading this should help.
