If you have mentioned your reference number in the application then nothing is required. They will access all the information based on the sponsorship reference number.

thanks a lot @mukeshmoney.

due to some bad luck, i carried only docs listed in the checklist provided by company. later i found that i had missed the sponsorship letter (CoS) which carries 10 points. this doc was not listed in the checklist.

i've mentioned the CoS number in the application. glad to see your response that the CoS number is enough for the processing.

ramesh.

What is a certificate of sponsorship? wrote:A certificate of sponsorship is not an actual certificate or paper document, but is a unique reference number, which holds information about the job and your personal details.
Your sponsor will give you your certificate of sponsorship reference number. They will also need to give you some of the information they used to assign the certificate for you to use the point-based calculator and apply, for example, the wage of the job.

Thanks for the info. the sponsorship letter or CoS from the company was for the maintenance points = 10. does your explanation still hold good for me?

I think you have people confused by referring to a letter of financial support from your company as Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Understand that you have now sent that document to BHC, so should be okay - as long as they receive it and can identify it as a supporting document for your application.

Yes. I took time to realise that it was the financial support document.

thanks for all your support and assistance. i got my visa approved. the maintenance supporting document carrying 10 points was the missing doc.

company refers to it as sponsorship letter. while vfs calls it CoS. now, i found its the letter issued by company they will support maintenance for the 1st one month.

thanks again...
