Will I get an extension for TIER 1 based on Advanced Diploma

I got 30 points on TIER1 General in March 2009 for ABE Advanced diploma Business Administration before the Masters degree requirement came into effect in April 2009. I also showed that I was studying for a 3 year distance learning Warwick MBA.My three year extension falls due in March 2012.

1) I would like to ask will I be allowed extension based on existing Advanced diploma qualification or am I expected to complete my Masters degree by then? Is there a way or advisable to write to UKBA asking on this subject and what is their email address please?

2) I enjoy studying after work and weekends. as it helps with my work too. Should I could consider holding MBA studies and instead completing one year top up to BA(Hons) Business Computing degree by distance to comeplte before March 2012. Is that advisable and safe?

3) Are you sure the Masters requirement for TIER 1 has been scrapped. Is it mentioned on the UKBA website? Can one read the policy on these matters?

Qualifying criteria, applicable currently, are explained in the policy guidance or, alternatively, you may use the PBS calculator to ascertain if your present qualifications satisfy the qualifying criteria (for extension).

It is difficult for anyone to predict for you what the qualifying criteria would be in 2012. It is possible that they remain the same as today, but it is also possible that they may change (for good or worse).

PBS stands for Point Based System (e.g.- Tier 1, 2 etc.)
Tier 1 (General) policy guidance
PBS calculator

Personal suggestion - read the guidance first (carefully), before you get on to trying the PBS calculator (can be tricky).
