I would suggest to inform IPS.noah11 wrote:hi guys.i have just sent my passport application form away using the IPS service but, by the time i went back home from the post office i found out that i have done a mistake writtin my mums birth month wrongly. so, will that affect my application form?? thanks
The issue is to provide correct information to IPS or UKBA.abi_abc wrote:On what basis were you applying for a British Passport?
Naturalisation with certificate?
If so, and your mother is a different nationality living in a different country it really isn't going to matter that you got her birthday wrong the passport application form. They will have no records. So I wouldn't bother trying to change it.
But what is likely to happen is that when you go for your passport interview they may ask you as one of the questions when her birth date was. If so, give the date you put on the passport application form - not her correct birthday - as they are checking your identity against the person who filled in the form.
The form sort of suggest yes, but for naturalisation cases its not necessaryjoelondon wrote:hi guys , in the passport application do i have to give them my grand parent birthdays and names !!!! or just my parents is enough ...please let me knw thanks
