applying for citizenship without the life in the uk certific

Post by katira » Sun Aug 22, 2010 1:40 pm

Hi, I already have ILR for two years, and in order to have this I had to pass the life in the uk test as one of the main requirements, but I can't find the certificate, besides I don't remember if home office return it to me or not, and now I am applying through NCS for the citizenship and they asked for the certificate of the life in the uk. is this really necesary? I have an appointment in two weeks, I rang asking about it but they haven't reply.
I need to know since I have a broken knee and a toddler  and I don't want to turn my house upside down to look for something that I probably never had back since I keep every little document for my papers and can't find this one. Please does someone know anything about this?
Thank you! :D

This is no problem at all. Just tick the appropriate box on the form AN to indicate that you passed the test in order to get your ILR. The fact that you supplied the certificate to get ILR is clearly recorded in the UKBA computer system.
