I am on PSW visa and am preparing for tier 1 general application which I will do in 6 months.
I gain enough points in other areas, and need 20 points from previous earnings. My previous 1 year earning at the point of applying will be 35000 at least. 25000 will be from a salaried employment. 10000 will be from a freelance translation works. Here, my questions go!
-I understand it is ok that I worked for two different companies (one as a salaried employee, the other as a freelancer) at the same time. Is this right?
- The remote freelance work I am starting soon is for an overseas company physically present in a different country. Would this be ok? (I do know that the country weighting is not applied as I am physically in the UK and a UK resident for tax purpose.)
- For the evidence document purpose and taxation, I am considering working for an big unbrella company, instead of doing tax return by myself, so that I can get a reliable documents for visa. Is this the best way?
- I would like to know what kind of documents I should provide for the freelance work, from the umbrella company. with exactly what information? E.g, should I provide the original contract as well? Are hours worked or types of work important?
My case can be simple or complecated. I really want to prepare well from now on, so that I do not find myself in an unexpected trouble when my visa expires. I have done pretty much research on this, and am going to call home office to ask soon. I thought there must be at least one who could give a good advice on this here! Please can any one give help for me?
Or, any one can share similar experience?
Thank you very much
