Seeking Advice

Post by milagro » Thu Sep 09, 2010 5:40 pm

I am a bit concerned since I sent a letter to UKBA requesting reconsideration of my Tier 4 (student) visa extension which was refused solely on Maintenance grounds. This was following the Pankina judgements on July 23 2010.

Prior to that judgement I wanted a solicitor to represent me at the hearing which is scheduled in a few weeks. I am thinking of cancelling that Appeal and wait on UKBA instead since they mentioned in the Pankina judgement guidelines that they would withdraw any outstanding appeal once a valid reconsideration request is made.

Today makes 6 weeks and still not a word from UKBA. I would be grateful if I could be advised as I am trying to cut legal costs by attending the Appeal hearing.
