Biometric ID Card(wrong place of birth)urgent help please

hello members,
As most of you know that i hv got ILR under 10 years long residence and applied for Flr(M) for my wife and kids today i have received their passport and biometrics residence permits for 2 years while going through the ID card details i came to know that in one of my children ID card place of birth is written wrongly as London whereas she was born in Scotland and its written in her birth certificate as well, so i called them and asked about it and they asked me to send it back along with passport and a letter explaining the mistake. and i was just sending it bk with passport and then realised that place of birth in passport is London as well, now i am really confused about that as i have to book tickets to visit my home town.

Any advice or help is most welcome.
