I transferred about £6300 as maintenance funds for myself and my partner into a savings account in my name on the 20th of September. The account was only opened on 18 September with the sole purpose of showing our maintenance funds for the UK visa application.
My initial idea was to wait out three months until 31 December to get three full months worth of bank statements, but I'm getting nervous now and would rather apply ASAP (e.g. 22 December).
I have the money coming into my current account on the 19th from my partner's current account and then transferred into my savings account the next day. I will be using my current account statements for proof of earnings, so the transfers are clearly visible there.
So my concern is that they will ask why the account was opened the day before or why the savings all went in there in a single day. Would there be any sort of issue with that? I will of course make sure that the money was there for 90 consecutive days and provide statements for it, but I am just concerned that there might be an issue with that?
