Urgent inputs requested - Note on Maintenance Funds

Post by agarwaka » Mon Dec 06, 2010 12:09 pm

Hi,

I'm requesting my fixed deposits to be considered alongwith savings account balance and have drafted the note below. Would request feedback urgently as I'm submitting my documents on 8/12. Thanks in advance!!

(a) Bank Statement stating funds’ availability in my savings account over the past 90 days:

This statement provides details of the debits, credits and funds’ availability in my savings account for the period September 1st 2010 to December 3rd 2010. The lowest amount of available funds has been INR xxxx, which is equivalent to GBP xxxx (rate from OANDA as of 05/12/2010). The reviewer is requested to consider the funds’ availability in this account, in conjunction with the funds available in my Fixed Deposit account (details in (b) below).

(b) Bank letter stating availability of funds in my fixed deposit (equivalent to cash fund) account over the past 90 days:

This statement provides details of the funds available in my fixed deposit account from commencement of the deposits (all in 2008) to December 1st, 2010. As confirmed by an authorized signatory of the bank, these funds are redeemable at immediate notice, with no loss of principal. The constant amount of funds in this account has been INR xxxx, which is equivalent to GBP xxxx (rate from OANDA as of 05/12/2010).

Considering the funds available in my savings account in conjunction with those available in my fixed deposit account, the lowest amount of available funds at any point of time during the period September 1st 2010 to December 1st 2010 has been INR xxxxxx, which is equivalent to GBP xxxx (rate from OANDA as of 05/12/2010).

Can you tell me if the value of your fixed deposit?

You need to show the proofs for the same dates.

For example if you show
a. bank statements from 1st Sep till 3rd Dec and the minimum amount of 1 lacs
b. Fixed deposit of 1.5 lacs till 30 Nov

then the case worker will have all the right to hold it against you that between 1st Dec and 3rd Dec, you hold a minimum of 1 lacs only!!

So please beware of the dates!!

Thanks,
Sumit.
