Tier-1 (General) - Extensions and settlement... New Rules...

Post by hoping_for_HSMP » Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:48 pm

Since the other topic has been rightly locked and I hope someone also gets banned... I am making this new topic where we can discuss the extensions and settlement rules' updates that we hear...

Some people in the other topic were posting the replies they received from UKBA... Which was very helpful...

Also there are many people who are keeping an eye on UKBA's website and updating us all with any new information that appears there...

So lets discuss all this in a sensible way... And keep emotions down... Fighting among ourselves in not going to make an iota difference to the outcome...

So far what we are pretty certain of now is that rules for extensions may not change... lets take it forward from here...

There are no "new rules" yet specified for existing Tier 1 (General) migrants with regards to extensions, and until such time that an announcement to the effect is made any discussion on the subject is speculative and only a result of members' imagination(s) - and encouraging speculation or discussing speculative strategies of current migrants regarding UK's future immigration policy is not the purpose of this forum. The result of such efforts has been clearly evident in the other topic and this topic too, despite the humble request in the opening post, will eventually follow the same path!

Until such time that the govt. / UKBA announces any changes to immigration rules regarding leave to remain (extension) and indefinite leave to remain (settlement) of existing Tier 1 (General) migrants, the rules remain as specified in Part 6A (245AA-245G) and Part 8 (319A-319K) of the immigration rules.
